I have such pleasant memories of my time with Peter, whether playing soccer or cricket with the staff teams, or on holiday on the Broads with students, where Helen introduced him to his love of sailing. He was the most articulate man I ever met, such a fantastic command of language. Where one word would have been enough, Peter would use a dozen or more, so his conversation was so interesting, rewarding and colourful.
